Regional Focus
The value in adopting a regional approach lies in taking stock of the existing and potential energy assets of a region - stationary renewables, grid-connected energy storage, novel technologies and so on - and recruit them in service to energy needs specific to the region.
Key priorities are energy use cases that are poorly served by networks that tend to suit the needs of urban centres - uses that are seasonal, variable, mobile, remote or unpredictable in nature.
